This summer we are once again offering a CSA option for our farm fresh, pasture-raised eggs. Our summer CSA runs May – October and will provide fresh eggs on a weekly basis. Here are the details:
Commitment – The minimum commitment is one dozen eggs per week, to be picked up weekly. Eggs can be picked up at the farm Monday – Friday or Saturdays at the Hendersonville Farmers Market (May 6 & 13 and Oct will be at Glenbrook Shopping Center). Should you select Wednesday, pick up option would also include the White House Farmers Market May 24 – Aug 31 with the remainder of the weeks picking up at the farm.
Cost – Our summer egg share is for 26 weeks and the cost is $123 for 1 dozen per week (26 dozen eggs total), payable in advance. (Egg shares are limited and will sell out. They are sold on a first come, first served basis.)
Why choose the CSA option? – If your family goes through at least a dozen eggs per week, this option is the best
way to go. As we go through the heat of summer, we know our hens will slow down on their egg production and we will have fewer eggs to sell during our busiest time of the year. As an Egg CSA member, you are guaranteed to get your eggs before we would sell any to non-CSA members. In addition to knowing you will have your eggs each week, the CSA price reflects a price of $4.73/dz versus our retail price of $5/dz. Guaranteed eggs and saving money make our Egg CSA a great deal.
